Musical Evenings on Ammouliani, Chalkidiki30 July - 20 August 2016
Ammouliani, in the northern Agiou Oros Gulf just west of the Athos peninsula, and the only inhabited island of Halkidiki, will be home to the Lianiammou Festival from July 30 until August H20.
Come and hear pop and rock music, Greek melodies and ethnic music in the beautiful summer setting of Ammouliani, through the festival's seven musical events. Enjoy the cooling breezes of this gulf off the northern Aegean with is beautiful aquamarine waters and the sharp, dramatic rise of Mt. Athos in the distance to the southeast.
The festival opens on July 30th with "Hello Summer!" an exceptional kids' oriented musical evening.
On August 5th a program called "From the Gypsy Waltz" will be presented, using violins, accordions, and vocal talents.
Fotini Velesiotou headlines the August 8th program, along with her friends and other musical artists.
On August 13th, Eleni Peta presents "Travels in the Mediterranean, with selections from the music of Spain, France and Italy.
On August 17th there will be an evening of classical rebetiko, and on the 20th, soloists Ross Daly and Kelly Thoma bid farewell to the festival through a journey into the music of the world.
