Sani Festival Turns 258 July - 19 August 2017
Sani Resort, about a third of the way down the western coast of the Kassandra peninsula of Halkidiki, founded 30 years ago, was that region’s first large resort. Twenty-five years ago, in 1992, the first Sani Festival was held. It has since become one of the summer’s cultural highlights in Greece, featuring performing artists of international stature of all musical genres, from Jazz to Classical and everything in between, as well as top-flight Greek talent. In addition, theatrical and visual projects are presented. The Festival’s goal is to “marry Greek culture with Greek tourism.
Held on Sani Hill, an outcrop of land overlooking the sea, with a brightly-lit rectangular medieval tower forming a dramatic backdrop to the stage, the location is breathtakingly beautiful. The Festival has become one of the most coveted tickets in Greece’s cultural summer.
This year the Festival well be held from July 8 to August 19.
