This year’s Berlin Tourism Fair- largest in the world- was a roaring success for Greek tourism. But what do the Greek exhibitors say about their experience at the fair, which concluded on March 12th? Grekomania spoke with Ms. Maria Sideroglou, Director of the German Department of the Mouzenidis Group.

"We are very pleased by our presence at this year's Fair, during which the Mouzenidis Group participated with double stand at the GTO pavilion. There was great interest in Greece and Group Mouzenidis from leading German media, such as n-tv, where we presented the products and services offered by the Group together with the advantages of Greek tourism."

Ms. Sideroglou underlined the rich list of services available for German tourists thinking of vacationing in Greece: direct flights with Ellinair, the Group’s growing airline, accomodations suitable for every budget, integrated package offers, tours, Mouzenidis Group offices in many Greek cities, and special programs tailored for a visitors particular interest such as gastronomic tours, religious tourism, walks, special conferences and exhibits, etc.

"The response of the German people to the services that we offer was great,” she continued. “We performed several B2B (business to business) meetings with major tour operators not only from Germany but also from the Netherlands and Belgium. The Greek islands, especially Crete and Rhodes are at the top of the list for German visitors, but there is growing interest in Halkidiki. The German market is very demanding,” she concluded, “so we’re going to forge on ahead aggressively, but carefully as well, in our approach to the German market.”
